In order to comply with the declaration of Governor of Oregon, Kate Brown, and the recommendations of Archbishop Alexander Sample, regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus, Shepherd of the Valley will be taking the following measures in our parish from now until April 14th, 2020 or further notice:
All public masses are cancelled. The Archbishop has issued a dispensation to all the faithful from their obligation to attend Mass during this time. We remain united in prayer during this time. You can see Mass streamed live on our Facebook page.
In addition, as the health and well-being of our parishioners, volunteers and employees is of utmost importance to us we will be taking the following precautionary measures to lessen any chance of the virus being spread:
The parish office will be closed to the public from now through April 14th or further notice.
Religious ed classes, Confirmation classes, RCIA classes, Stations of the Cross, the Vicariate Penance Services and all other meetings and groups are cancelled through April 14th or until further notice.
This includes the previously announced cancelations:
Seder Meal (Scheduled for Monday, March 30th)–Cancelled
Senior Sunday, Women’s Social, and all Food Events–Cancelled (Kitchen is closed)
Stations of the Cross will continue at 7pm on the Friday’s of Lent however Soup Supper is Cancelled.
All March Theology Classes (Institute for Lay Leaders)–Cancelled
