The secular world is against marriage as we know it. What can you possibly do about it? You can make a huge change by supporting God's ideal of marriage, sacramental marriage and support a couple who are getting married from your parish. This couple may be newly engaged or a civilly married couple who is now getting their marriage blessed in the Catholic church. Either way, this is a way for you to forge a friendship with another couple, and support them in their love and marriage.
Who us? We are far from perfect! Well, we don't want perfect marriages, we want authentic people who love Christ and eachother and who believe in marriage and the family. We want couples who believe in intentional commitment and have had some bumps along the way so they know what getting through challenges and covenant mean. You aren't counselors, but friends who with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, will lead this couple deeper into an understanding of God and His role in their marriage, it's survival, and its fulfillment. And yes, you'll laugh and become friends along the way. -
